2016 Rose - COMING SOON
Fruit for our Rose is 100% Merlot, from the Hiwanda vineyard in Naramata. Our Rose was made using the SaignÃ©e method, and gently pressed to produce a beautiful blush colour. Cold-fermented at 15 C to preserve the grapeâ€™s natural fruit aromas, this wine has an intense nose of candy apple and strawberry, with subtle notes of tangerine. These are echoed on the palate with a refreshing, citrus-like acidity. The alc/vol sits at 13.2%, making this wine extremely food-friendly and versatile. 126 cases produced
2015 Pinot Noir - JUST RELEASED!
Fruit for our 2015 Pinot Noir comes from the Canyon View Vineyard in Summerland. This wine was aged for 17 months in 28% new French oak, the rest neutral. The wine was cold soaked for 5 days, then 50% wild fermented, producing a rich, highly complex wine with intense notes of strawberry, spice, red cherry, mushroom and orange peel on the nose and palate with a beautiful, fresh acidity and extremely long finish. This wine is exceptional when paired with classic Pinot dishes like duck or salmon, as well as with hard cheeses. 230 cases produced
Our first single varietal merlot, this fruit is sourced from the Hiwanda vineyard on the Naramata Bench. These 15 year old vines have produced a beautifully concentrated wine that aged for 19 months in 40% new French oak and 60% neutral oak. Plum, blackberry, cherry and mocha notes are plentiful on the nose and palate, backed with nice acidity and some serious tannic structure to round out the wine, making this a merlot that will only get better after a few years of aging. This wine pairs beautifully with any grilled meat, especially steak. 450 cases produced
2014 The Pull
This is our fifth vintage for this merlot-based blend, which also contains Cabernet Sauvignon (28%), Petit Verdot (17%), Cabernet Franc (8%) and Malbec (7%). Fruit for our red blend comes from Osoyoos and Naramata. The 2014 vintage is a rich wine, aged 19 months in 40% new and 60% neutral French oak. It has an intense nose of black cherry, plum, blackberry and baking spice with a hint of tobacco, all echoed on the palate. While drinking now, our full bodied 2014 vintage will get even better with time. This wine is best paired with red meat, especially grilled or roasted lamb. 394 cases produced
